Sanitation Officer Double Parks At Hydrant

Here is another video from the Jimmy Justice archives. This Sanitation officer simultaneously blocks a fire hydrant and a lane of traffic on a major thoroughfare. This Sanitation officer is NOT an emergency worker, and is NEVER permitted to block a hydrant. Her job is to write summonses for sanitation violations and parking tickets to vehicles interrupting sanitation operations. Many municipal workers feel this sense of entitlement to violate traffic law.Just because the city does not write summonses to city vehicles does not minimize the dangerous and disrespectful act of this officer. What if there would have been a fire? The shame is that it is Officer Austin's job to write summonses to civilian vehicles for the same violations. Either Officer Austin does not know the law, or she openly flouts the law.In either case, she should not be qualified to write summonses to others.
