Looking for Cormac: Cormac McCarthy: Jim Collier, Eric Davies, John McKay '95

Back

'Looking for Cormac' is a 33-minute documentary following three filmmakers who travel across the South in search of reclusive author, Cormac McCarthy. Originating in New York City, 'Looking For Cormac' chronicles two weeks and a hundred characters, such as Mississippi author, Larry Brown, New Orleans Outsider artist, A.J. Boudreaux, and small-town raconteurs, journalists and psychics; but the center to which the film returns is McCarthy, his work, and his penchant for solitude. Initially intent on locating the author, the filmmakers begin to question their own motives as they approach their goal. In the end, after 3,000 miles, dozens of interviews, and encounters with the law, they find themselves within a stone's throw of the author.
